Arabic Day at Star International School-Al Twar

On May 15, 2008, Star International School, Al Twar, celebrated the Arab Nation. We included all 22 Arab states and used this opportunity to educate and inform our Non-Arab staff and students about the joys and excitement of being Arab. All the Non-Arabs were very intrigued about the culture and traditions. We had a two hour programme where parents and friends were invited; all teachers played a vital part to add to the success of this day. The Principal welcomed our visitors in her warm and friendly fashion. Six of the yr 3's (Non-Arabs) also greeted the visitors in Arabic. It was appreciated by all the Arabs to see the enthusiasm of the Non-Arabs becoming acquainted with the language. Everyone was dressed in Arab Dress and looked awesome. Due to the great team effort, this day was a huge success.
